Reflex Consulting Announces Membership in Altera Certified Design Center Program
SAN JOSE, Calif. & AIX-EN-PROVENCE, France--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May
4, 2001--Reflex Consulting, custom programmable system design
specialists, and Altera Corporation (Nasdaq:ALTR), a leading supplier
of programmable logic devices (PLDs), today announced a partnership
that will provide customers with system-on-a-programmable-chip (SOPC)
design services, including designs that involve intellectual property
(IP) integration and Altera's new Excalibur(TM) embedded processor
solutions.
Reflex Consulting offers broad expertise in HDL design with Altera
PLDs and tools, IP integration with the Altera MegaCore® and Altera
Megafunction Partner Program (AMPP(SM)) IP libraries, and embedded
software development solutions with the Altera Excalibur architecture.
``The Altera Certified Design Center (CDC) program provides a vital
opportunity for Reflex Consulting to deliver these services to a
larger customer base,'' said Craig Lytle, vice president of the
intellectual property business unit at Altera.
``Integrating processing, memory, and logic is the main issue of
every system design. Altera's Excalibur solutions allow Reflex
Consulting to deliver the best solution in terms of services, design,
production costs, and fast time to market,'' said Arnaud Schleich,
president of Reflex Consulting.
To ensure Reflex's success as an Altera Certified Design Center
partner, Altera provides Reflex with training on its Excalibur
embedded processor solutions, as well as Altera's Mercury(TM),
APEX(TM) and APEX II devices and IP portfolio. As certified experts,
Reflex engineers will enable Altera customers to smoothly develop and
complete SOPC applications. Reflex has already designed a rack-mounted
programmable logic controller (PLC) complex system for the VINCI Group
that was based on Altera's own Nios(TM) embedded processor technology.
``Reflex Consulting will reach a larger audience, and customers
will find innovative solutions through the Altera CDC program. Having
the ability to offer both Altera MegaCore IP as well as our design
services presents a valuable offer for customers, who now have only a
single point of contact for their system-on-a programmable-chip
designs,'' said Jean-Yves Brena, CEO of Reflex Consulting. ``We are
proud to be a founding member of the Altera CDC program.''
